How to Have a Cozy Night In on Valentine's Day

Hey guys and Happy Valentine's Day! I absolutely love Valentine's Day! It's actually one of my favorite holidays even when I was single. I just love all the love and pink and hearts everywhere :) I know that's super obnoxious to other people but it's heaven for me! I am all about going out on Valentine's Day and spending time with your gals or that someone special but sometimes the best Valentine's Days are spent in. I'm going to share some of my favorite ways to spend a cozy night in for Valentine's Day. It doesn't have to be an over the top thing.

1. Cozy Picnic

This is #1 on my list because this is actually what Joey and I are doing tonight. I wanted to do something low-key but also something we don't do everyday in order to make it a little more special. So tonight, we are having a picnic on our living room floor complete with wine (for me), beer (for him), homemade personal pizzas, chocolate covered strawberries, and a little romance. I am so excited! When I told him what I was planning, he got really excited...probably more so for the pizza he didn't have to share but I'll take it :) You could even get takeout and have a little picnic! You could get your favorite ethnic food or takeout from a restaurant where you had your first date! Simple and so fun!

2. Make Dinner Together

This one works perfectly whether you're with the girls or your significant other. Make dinner together instead of getting takeout. It's super fun! I always try to get Joey in the kitchen with me. Pick something everyone likes, put on some music and get cooking!

3. Play Board Games

I feel like board games get forgotten and it's not something you do everyday! Pull out those old board games and relive your childhood!

4. Have a Cupcake Bake-Off

This is actually something we are doing at work and I think it's so fun! Nothing says love like a little friendly competition. Whoever wins doesn't have to do the dishes :)
