Fall Trends 2018

Hey y'all! I can't believe fall is here in 4 days! It seems like the year just started. I am so stoked for it to finally start cooling down and see all the new fall trends come out to play! I don't know if I can get on board with all the new trends but most of them I am really excited about!

90s Cool

This is one of the trends that I'm kind of on the fence about. Last year it was all about the crushed velvet and this year it's all about the matching plaid 2 piece sets, mom jeans, and studded denim skirts. I'm actually kind of excited about denim skirts coming back but I don't love the 2 piece plaid sets. Anytime I see them, all I can think of is the movie Clueless. Sometimes I see pieces that are so super cute, and other times I am like why is this a thing? I absolutely cannot get on board with turtlenecks. I'm sorry, I can't. I hated them as a child and I still do not like them. I just don't think they're cute and they're really not comfortable for me. Just a side note while we're on the topic of throwback clothing and accessories, I recently got some scrunchies and I am so in love with them. I probably wouldn't wear them out, but they are so helpful for holding my hair back when I sleep and not leaving a dent in my hair and just being way more gentle on my hair than a hair elastic. So overall, I'm on the fence about the 90s vibe.

Dainty Jewelry

Oh my goodness, this trend I am all for. I love little dainty jewelry just because I think it's super chic and also just makes me feel really girly. I recently got some dainty layered necklaces and they're like all I wear. I love wearing really dainty earrings when I have my hair up because that's when you can see them best and I think it just looks so classy!

Leopard

I am seeing Leopard print EVERYWHERE! I think I'm into it. I was at Target the other day and saw this adorable leopard accordion skirt that was flowy and it was to die for. I think it's a great pattern for fall because it incorporates those nudes and browns that we always see in the fall. The pattern pairs great with olive greens and dark maroons and that's why I love it for fall!

Camo

This is a trend I am actually really into. I absolutely love camo vests that have little pull strings and cinch at the waist! I want to get my hands on one of those so badly. I've been seeing camo everywhere and, again, it's perfect for fall because a lot of the olive greens that come along with camo, are the perfect color palette. I saw the cutest little camo tee the other day at Target and it was simple but would've been so cute under a big taupe cardigan or oversized jean jacket.

Embroidery

This tred kind of goes hand in hand with the 90s trend. Back in the day of Backstreet Boys and 98 degrees, we wore a lot of big floral embroidery...and it's making its way back around. I can't say I'm really into it but I've seen a few pieces here and there that have been really cute. I think this trend is better off staying in the 90s.
