August Favorites

Hey guys! It's that time again! Favorites are something that I just recently started doing because I like to share all of my favorite things from the month before and these posts are becoming some of my favorite posts to write :) So let's jump in y'all!

Bath and Body Works/White Barn Candle-Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin

This one is probably my absolute favorite from August. I happened upon a sale at Bath and Body Works one day and ALL of their 3 wick candles were 50% off! I had to take advantage of it because I LOVE their fall candles. I would recommend waiting until their candles go on sale because I think $25 can be a bit pricey for a candle. I purchased the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin candle with the White Barn packaging because I thought it was more elegant than the Bath and Body Works packaging. It is such a warm scent that is just the embodiment of fall and it's a nice orange color that will add a festive touch to the house. I can't wait for it to get a little colder out to burn it.

Bondi Sands Tanning Lotion-Dark

It's not quite fall yet (even though it's quickly approaching) so I couldn't help but talk about a self tanner that I tried last month that I am in love with! This year I tried not to be in the sun a whole lot so self tanner had definitely been my best friend because i am a very pale person. The tanner I discovered last month is from Bondi Sands which is an Australian company and it is the most natural looking color I've seen in a self tanner. It has a nice coconut scent as well and doesn't make you smell like self tanner which is really great. I tend to like lotions better than foams because I like to mix them with regular lotion for my face and hands to make it look more natural. Plus I find streaking to be significantly less with lotions. But that's just my preference. I got mine in the Dark shade and I do have to say, it wasn't as dark as I was hoping. But no worries, I can just double up on application and be good to go. It didn't gather in the dryer spots on my face like some other self tanners do and it was so natural looking! Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick

While we're on the topic of beauty, I'll mention a great liquid lip. A lot of times I shy away from liquid lips because they tend to be dry and dry out my lips BUT this formula isn't like that at all. It's very comfortable. I've actually had the Liquid Matte Lipstick from Huda Beauty for quite a while but recently I've been wearing it more because it's a very fall color and I'm feeling it a lot. I have mine in the shade "Bombshell". It's a gorgeous nude and it's perfect for fall. I'd absolutely recommend this liquid lip and I can't wait to try more shades!

Kind Blueberry Almond Breakfast Bars

Guys, if you are looking for a quick, on the go bar for breakfast or even as a mid-day snack, this is your answer! The Kind Blueberry Almond Breakfast Bars have become my favorite breakfast/snack. They're small but very dense and pack a big energy punch. I love how the Kind brand only uses simple ingredients and make snacks that are good for you and this bar is no different. I personally think they taste like a blueberry muffin and I can't get over how good they are. I highly recommend these bars for any time of day, not just breakfast! You won't regret it!

Sugar Rush

Now this is a little different because this isn't a product, it's a show and it's on Netflix. Joey and I have become obsessed with it! The show is called Sugar Rush and it's a competition split up into 3 rounds (cupcakes, confections, and cake). Competitors start the clock with 3 hours and have to complete the first 2 rounds within that time frame, trying to use up as little time as possible because that extra time saved will be added to their time in the 3rd round. Teams get eliminated throughout and the final 2 teams must bake a cake that goes with a specific theme and whoever executes it the best, wins! It's really intense and Joey and I have been binging it! So good! If you love cooking or baking competition shows, this is for you!
