High-End Products Worth the Splurge

Hey y'all! I hope your week has been fabulous! So lately I've been using a lot more high end products from hair and skin care to makeup and I really love the products I use so, of course, I'm going to share them with you! Some of these products aren't super expensive which is the best part! I think most of them are pretty affordable even though they're high end!
Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion

Ok, so this may sound like a crazy product but I swear to you that this is one of my favorite skin care products! Microdermabrasion is just a fancy way of saying exfoliate with really small beads. Think of it as sandpaper for your face. This exfoliator is incredible. I use it after I cleanse my face and it leaves my face extremely smooth! It has a super refreshing citrus scent which I love because I am OBSESSED with anything lemon. I only use it about once a week because it is definitely very abrasive but it gets all the dead skin cells off my face and it makes my makeup lay so well on my face! This stuff is like a miracle exfoliator but it does come with a pretty hefty price tag at $79. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck though because I use it once a week and it has lasted me about 6 months and I still have a lot left. You only need a small amount each time so it can last you for a super long time! It has about a 12 month shelf life and I absolutely think you could go that long on 1 bottle!
Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Oil

For all you frizzy haired girls out there, this one is for you. I have always had really big curly frizzy hair so I'm always on the lookout for frizz fighting products. My mom had gotten some living proof samples and gave a few to me and one of them was the no frizz nourishing oil. I'm usually skeptical about hair oils just because anytime I've used them, they always made my hair really greasy even when I used it really lightly. I tried the sample and fell in L-O-V-E with it. It's very lightweight and doesn't make my hair feel greasy AT ALL! I put it on my hair when it's damp after my shower and it helps my hair to dry without getting frizzy or weighing it down. It smells amazing too! I can't really describe the smell but believe me, it's awesome! This one is A LOT more affordable. At first when I was looking for a full size bottle, I could only find it at $38 for 3.4 oz but then I found it on Amazon for so much cheaper!! So it's definitely affordable and it will last you awhile because you only need 2-3 pumps per use. Don't really know if this one is much of a splurge, to be honest.
MAC False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara

OH MY GOSH y'all! This mascara is bomb!!! I'm completely obsessed with it ever since I tried a sample! Usually, whenever I try high end mascaras I'm disappointed because they just don't live up to the price tag but this mascara is amazing! Y'all know I love me some mascara so when I find a new one that can meet my high standards, you know it's love. This mascara does exactly what the name says. It makes my lashes look like falsies! I have pretty long, curly eyelashes to begin with but they look natural. With this mascara, they are so extremely long and full! This mascara may be neck and neck with the L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara. It doesn't clump and it also has a tapered brush so it's easier to get your corner lashes. I hate brushes where they're huge the entire way and it just makes a mess of your eye makeup. I think this is a bit of a splurge just because I'm used to drugstore mascaras and they cost like $8 so spending $23 on a mascara is scary if you don't know it's absolutely amazing. You don't have to worry about that because I'm letting you know this mascara is a 10/10 for me!
Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

This palette is one of my all time favorites! It has a good range of different shadow finishes which is what makes it one of my favorites. It consists of 5 metallic shades, 3 satin shades, and 4 matte shades. The palette features shades that are essential to a smoky eye look and I really like that they can be combined to create different kinds of smoky eyes. This palette is so versatile. I'm a really big fan of Urban Decay eyeshadows in general so this palette is amazing. My ultimate favorite shade in this palette is called Radar. It's a dark metallic brown and it's amazing. The shades in this palette are so pigmented that I barely have to use any product so it has lasted me a long time! Not only are the shades amazing, but the packaging is just to die for! It's got a grayish brown marble look that mimics smoke and kind of sets the stage for how amazing it's going to be.It seems like they may be discontinuing this palette for reasons I'm not sure of but right now on Urban Decay's website it is half off making the palette $27!!! If you love the Naked palettes and smoky eyes, you need to get your hands on this palette.
Dose of Colors: Marvelous Mauves and Baked Browns Palettes

Oh my goodness y'all. These eyeshadow palettes are the most pigmented palettes I have ever used in my life! They're insane! I barely have to dip my brush in the color to have tons of pigment on it. The only bad thing I have to say about these palettes is there is a TON of fallout but honestly, the color pay off way outweighs the fallout problem, at least for me. You definitely need to tap off any excess product before putting it on your eye because it will be all over your face otherwise. Mauve is quickly becoming my favorite color and I was so stoked to get my hands on this palette. Joey has actually banned me from saying the word mauve around him because I say it so much ;) He equates it to the word moist but I'm going to say that's not even a comparison. But anyway, the baked browns and marvelous mauves palettes by Dose of Colors are perfection in terms of pigmentation. I don't know if they're worth $32 seeing as you only get 5 shades in each palette but nonetheless, I am obsessed with the shades.
Morphe Pressed Pigments

I know you're probs getting really tired of eyes shadow right now but I have one more line of eyeshadows that I can't get enough of! They're not really a splurge because they have a pretty modest price tag but they are high end. These are the Morphe Pressed Pigments. The singles I have are Richly Made Up, Mimosa Sunday (my absolute favorite), Powder Room, and Celebrity Affair. Y'all, they named these eyeshadow singles perfectly because they're soooo incredibly pigmented! I can't even get over it. All the singles I have are metallic (my favorite eyeshadow finish) and they're so creamy and absolutely beautiful. I love to foil them to make them even more intense! Each pigment is about $6 which is awesome because they're high end for a drugstore price!
Tarte Double Duty Shape Tape Contour Concealer

This is absolutely the best concealer I have ever used! I can't rave enough about it. Not only does it lay beautifully on my skin but it is so full coverage. I have a tough time finding a really good coverage concealer even though that's the point of concealer...to cover. Tarte Shape Tape is so extremely thick, it covers literally anything you put it on. A very little bit goes a seriously long way which makes the price at $27 a pretty good deal. It could last you a freaking long time. I do think that if you do have fine lines or wrinkles, I wouldn't use it because it would definitely settle into those crevices because it is so thick. It does have a slight perfume scent which I don't love but it's not bad. Overall, this is a life changing concealer.
That's it for my favorite high end products that I think are definitely worth the splurge! Usually, the reason a product is priced so high is because of the quality and you don't have to repurchase it for quite a while. That's why these are some of my favorites :) What are your favorite high end products that are worth the splurge? Make sure to leave a comment! I love to hear your thoughts!
